I've deployed LogMeIn Free on a remote Windows XP SP3 client, and although the computer is online, LogMeIn is unable to connect. The computer has a static IP set, with the DNS server IP the same as the default gateway. The event monitor reports the following, which repeats every two minutes or so:
Info - LogMeIn - WebSvc - - Trying to acquire gateway data from DNS.
Info - LogMeIn - WebSvc - - Requesting gateway data
Info - LogMeIn - WebSvc - - Loading: http://homesite/myrahost/list.aspx?weighed=1&os=windows
Error - LogMeIn - WebSvc - - Could not connect to LogMeIn.com. Please make sure LogMeIn is enabled on any firewalls and your Internet connection is active.
I've checked Windows Firewall for an exception for LogMeIn, and even completely disabled all firewall and antivirus software with no results.
The computer is definitely online, as I am connected to it from another time zone. Even when I am disconnected, the computer is unavailable in LogMeIn, though the local users can browse the web.
I have checked that the clock is set for the correct time as I saw in another thread. The computer isn't behind a proxy. I connected to LogMeIn.com in a web browser and downloaded the latest install files directly from the site. I restarted the service a few times as well.
I'm not sure what else to check. Has anyone else encountered this? It seems as though it's unable to resolve http://homesite/myrahost/list.aspx?weighed=1&os=windows.
